A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial if you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting with our company and you want to enable the catch-all functionality for a certain email mailbox that you’ve got in the web hosting account, it will take literally only one single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature right away, so all messages sent to miswritten addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. If you have active email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary note and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all mailbox easily even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you don’t want this feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
